A mix of feedback from across our courses, video analysis and coaching, straight from customer emails.
The course was great. Biggest things I got from it: keep within 1m of the lip when doing turns to maximise power and spray, and look where you want to go, especially landing.
Had barely been able to get into the right position for a normal air after trying for at least 8 months. Since watching the courses I'm getting airborne now and landed my first air the other day.
Surfed Salina Cruz recently, surfed well, probably the best I have in years. Your tip on the lip line / stringer line has dramatically helped my frontside cutback.
You did well to create something a surfer can refer to before and after a surf to self-analyse. Putting what we do into words is no easy feat, but you did it well.
I was honestly a bit sceptical at first as a female surfer, but the Surf Precision courses and feedback have made a huge difference for me. I feel way more confident in the water now.
I've gone from falling all the time to now consistently doing the manoeuvres I want. The video review service really helps me map out what I need to do.
Been going through the Power Surfing Course, which has been great. It's helped me reaffirm the basics.
Stoked to check things out. So far the videos are easy to understand.
Airs have been going really well, starting to hit some big sections, hucking a lot into the flats, landed some big ones. My make rate is pretty high, I'd say I land about 3 out of 5.
Once I got the course I used it for a bit and went from rough little straight airs to a few close attempts landing half way. As soon as I used it I started going the right way.
The course is amazing though, it has been incredible to learn from.
I wanna point out how thankful I am for that analysis. You put a lot of time and energy into it and were particularly kind, thank you!
Just watched the video and will be replaying it regularly. That's given me some things to work on, and thankfully it's not an overload, just the things that should have the biggest impact.
We have both definitely improved since your first analysis. For myself, just focusing on thinking of each turn as a carve has certainly helped.
The book is very directional and it helps a lot. Making sure I put my front foot above the lip first had a drastic effect fixing my frontside reo turn. I really felt it!
